This year marks the 9th edition of Taste of Belgium, a market-style celebration of all things Belgian, from food to art and delectable cuisine.

Organised by the Belgian Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by the Kingdom of Belgium, SAB-InBev and Lotus Bakeries, the festival will be hosted at the Belgian House in Newlands Cape Town, the same as last year.

Join the many Belgian producers and traders showcasing their wares, have a stroll on the Flea Market, organised by Belgica Club, and enjoy authentic Belgian beers and their national cuisine – sample traditional Flemish stew, Belgian fries, cheese croquettes or dive into some ‘moules frites’! Satisfy your sweet tooth with some chocolate, fine pastries and tarts or waffles while you take in the products, designs and displays at the market.

Opening at 11am and running until 5pm, it’s the perfect day out and will offer something for the whole family! There’s a play area to keep the kids entertained (supervision on duty) while you enjoy the market offerings – or find a spot in the beautiful garden to relax and enjoy a cold Belgian brew.

Venue:     The Belgian House, 29 Boshof Avenue, Newlands

Date:        November 14

Time:        Market opens at 11am – 5pm

Entrance to the market is free and parking will be available alongside the residence.

This year, capacity will be monitored in order to be COVID- 19 compliant. Everyone needs to register before entering, sanitize their hands and wear a mask. Stalls will be spread wider apart.
