3) Truly international | Globally connected
I recently met up with Global Brokers from London in Cape Town because there is a long history of global relationships stemming from many years in Central London, the Channel Islands, and the last eight years in Cape Town, four of which were spent as CEO of an international agency.
I am visiting London in September to catch up with key players in the property industry ahead of the busy summer season in South Africa. The difference is that we know international real estate brokers rather than a corporate affiliation.
4) Success is best when it is shared
Hardie Property has collaborated on over 30 deals with other agencies in four years. We strive to collaborate and get the best deal for the client. Too many agents hold onto their stock to get the deal for themselves when they could have sold it quicker and for more money had they shared from day dot.
The short-sighted approach to selling or renting homes is gently being pushed out by a new era of agents and agencies who genuinely are willing to work together. The rise of the boutique agency, just like ours, plays a key role in this attitudinal shift.
