Emergency repairs to the main water supply pipeline must be done in these areas. The work involves replacing two 535mm diameter critical control valves at the Constantia Sports Complex and on the corner Berwick Road and Constantia Main Road. The water supply needs to be shut off so the work is done safely and this will result in the disruption of the water supply to these areas during this period.
Timeline:
- From midnight on Monday, 17 June until midnight on Wednesday, 19 June.
This critical upgrade is part of the ongoing efforts to address the frequent water outages experienced over the past few months. Funded by the ‘pipe levy income,’ this project aims to improve the reliability of the water supply and is a positive investment for the community.
Residents are encouraged to keep taps closed to prevent any water loss and/or damage, as well as store enough water in clean, sealed containers to last during this period.
The City advises to be prepared for potential delays due to complications or adverse weather conditions.
Additional Support:
- Water tankers will be available at Tokai Library and Alphen Centre if the repairs extend beyond the scheduled time.
