South Africa has been ranked among the best countries for newlyweds to visit for their honeymoon, coming in at 6th place on the top 10 list.
Compiled by Big 7 Travel, an international travel research company, the list consisted of the top 20 most desirable places for married couples to visit.

The ranking criteria of the list included attraction affordability, culinary experience, luxury accommodation, wine and dine, honeymoon packages, romantic ambiance and unique experiences.

It costs £30 (R465.14) on average for a three-course meal for two at a mid-range to high-end restaurant, £4 (R93) on average for wine and other beverages, £50 (R1 162.86) on average for top attractions or activities and £111 (R2 581.55) on average for five-star hotels, according to the data.
