Camera footage from the Cape Town City BMW dealership has captured the harrowing moment a fresh M2 managed to spin out and almost land perfectly into a parking bay flanked by other cars.

Little is known about the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate incident but it seems likely that a brand new BMW, by way of the lack of number plates, has careened over the pavement and into the parking bay outside the BMW Cape Town City dealership.

Fortunately, the spot it landed was vacant, despite being flanked by several cars that would have only collected a smattering of debris and strewn body parts.
It has been a cold few days in and around South Africa, and the footage below shows the vehicle travelling straight on the road before pirouetting and narrowly missing a solid-looking tree, just about avoiding a rollover and coming to a stop.
As mentioned earlier, the circumstances around the incident are unknown but it is likely that the adverse, cool and damp weather conditions did not do the cold rear tyres any favours for traction once it had pulled out onto the road.
As a reminder, the BMW M2 comes in over R1.5 million and its 3.0-litre motor churns out an impressive 338 kW and 550 N.m to the rear wheels alone.
