Bobo’s restaurant has consistently topped the list of restaurants with the best views – Mouille Point is the place to be! This bustling restaurant is nestled along the Atlantic Seaboard with Sea Point’s famous promenade a stone’s throw away. Swap your running shoes for a pair of fancy boots with mesmerising sunsets guaranteed and only enhanced by the restaurant’s whimsical interior design.
The Setting
Eye-catching. That’s the first word that comes to mind when attempting to describe the decor and ambience of Bobo’s. It offers a beautiful blend of bohemian design with its hanging straw chandeliers and is perfectly balanced with the comfortable yet luxurious seating arrangement.
The restaurant offers a sort of luxury that’s unpretentious, providing an atmosphere that’s perfect for a night out with friends before heading home for a cuppa in bed. The uninterrupted ocean views need another shoutout, as it’s bound to leave you swooning. If I had to hand over a hundred or so just to enjoy the atmosphere and views, I would. It’s that good.

The Menu
Here’s where things get a little dicey. Bobo’s has an extensive menu that offers some incredible options for the hungry buffalos out there. As one such hungry buffalo who waddled her way into this very fine establishment, I was ready to eat everything on the menu. Thankfully, patrons have the opportunity to choose from a two or three-course menu with prices starting at around R245 per person.
Beef Carpaccio, fried baby squid, risotto, steak and a selection of delicious desserts are just a taste of what you’ll get when choosing to indulge in this set menu. For those looking to be a little adventurous, they provide a separate menu that features a few yummy treats, including a seafood feast, spiced chicken burger and carbonara linguine.

Every seafood dish that my friends unwillingly allowed me to sample was out of this world. However, as someone who is an avid meat-eater, the steak was obviously my first choice and, unfortunately, it was the wrong choice (cue sad music). The consensus around the table from a number of the steak-lovers was that we appeared to be having a bit of a tough night. But dessert to the rescue! The evening was made a little sweeter with the mouth-watering selection of desserts.
A delicious chocolate tart and a drool-worthy apple crumble were enough to make my heart sing a joyful song. Outside of the set menu, patrons have the chance to munch on baked Alaska and a cheesecake tart.
The Conclusion
The best views this side of Cape Town, delicious seafood options, and a vibey atmosphere that’s worth the tough steak. Bobo’s Restaurant should be on your summer, winter, spring, and autumn restaurant bucket list.
