Oudtshoorn police made a significant breakthrough last week with the arrest of two teenagers linked to the murder of an 18-year-old in April this year, Cape {town} Etc reports.

According to News24, Southern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Christopher Spies revealed that the investigation uncovered the victim, Mlungisi Stwayi, was assaulted by a group near Black Joint in Bongolethu.
After arriving home on April 20 at around 9:00 PM with severe head injuries, Stwayi was quickly rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries the following day.
‘Police were summoned to the hospital and commenced an investigation. The investigation led to the arrest of two suspects, aged 17 and 18, both from Bongolethu in Oudtshoorn,’ said Spies.
The two teenagers are set to appear in the Oudtshoorn Magistrate’s Court on Monday to face murder charges.
According to the Oudtshoorn Courant, Stwayi and his friends had visited an area near Bongolethu, where witnesses reported that he was pelted with stones by a group of young people. The teenagers remain in custody.
