The search for two men who were swept away by floodwaters in Klipheuwel, an informal settlement about 10km north of Durbanville in Cape Town, has entered its fifth day.

Western Cape police spokesperson Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi said the two men were driving a VW Polo when they attempted to cross a flooded low-level bridge near Mikpunt. The vehicle was swept away on Saturday.
The car was found about 1km downstream in the Mosselbank River.

A video of the incident shows the VW Polo pausing briefly before attempting to cross the bridge, while other motorists turned around. The vehicle was quickly swept away upon entering the floodwaters.
