Architectural Digest, a popular American publication, has ranked the Mother City in their Top 20 list of most beautiful cities in the world.

The publication claimed that although 20 cities were nowhere near sufficient to encapsulate all the world’s beauty, they tried to shine the light on some places which are supremely spectacular.
According to SA People News, a number of factors were considered in drawing up the list. These include a city’s architecture, historical relevance, cultural treasures and even natural appeal.
Cape Town scooped 14th place, with Architectural Digest admiring the destination for its varied offering.

The American publication also highlighted Table Mountain National Park which has a cable car offering panoramic views of the city, as well as Boulders Beach which offers the chance to spot penguins.
