According to Hypertext, South African viewers have multiple platforms to choose from for watching the opening ceremony:
SABC+
The national broadcaster’s streaming service, SABC+, will be showcasing the event on its dedicated Sports channel.
Coverage is set to begin at 7pm as part of the build-up. Hypertext notes, ‘If you are not an SABC+ subscriber, it’s not a problem, as sign up to the service is free, as long as you’re over the age of 18 or have a parent/guardian on hand to assist with sign up.’
DStv
