As another cold front approaches, flooding from a week of heavy rain is causing traffic congestion in several parts of the city, and motorists are advised to exercise caution.

Flooding on the N1 Incoming opposite Century City obstructed the left lane, causing traffic delays and backups this morning.
The traffic on the N2 Inbound ramp to Jakes Gerwel Drive is particularly heavy.
The N7 Southbound ramp to N1 Inbound is extremely congested, while the N7 Northbound between Wingfield Interchange and Bosmansdam Road is experiencing slow traffic.
Furthermore, the N7 Southbound at the ramp to Bosmansdam Road is congested, resulting in additional delays.
The R300 Northbound at the ramp to Old Paarl Road is also experiencing major delays.
The weather has caused traffic to back up on the N2 Outbound before Victoria Road in Somerset West.

The N1 Inbound between Plattekloof Road and Sable Road is extremely congested, while the N2 Inbound between Jakes Gerwel Drive and Liesbeeck Parkway is slow moving.
The N1 Inbound ramp to Jip De Jager, as well as the N1 Inbound at Durban Road, are experiencing heavy traffic.
Further delays have been reported on the R300 Northbound at the ramps to N1 Inbound and Van Riebeeck Road.
Motorists are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly, be aware of pedestrian crossings, particularly those near schools, and stay safe during these inclement weather conditions.
