Michael Mutombo was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and is currently fulfilling his dream of becoming a rugby star for South Africa.
The rising star shared his inspiring story in the pilot episode of a new documentary series titled ‘My Next Chapter.’

‘My Next Chapter’ is the passion project of Ewald Sadie. It is a documentary series which shines a light on empowering stories from those in the community.
In the pilot episode, viewers are introduced to Michael Mutombo.
Good things guy shares that Sadie is the videographer and photographer behind the documentary.
The series highlights the positive influence sport can have on individuals. It specifically focuses on those who have had to overcome tremendous hardships and have gone on to see success.
The end-goal is for the series to have six parts, each of which will share the stories of inspiring individuals and their sport.

According to the series, Michael and his family left their home country when he was a young boy, in search of all Cape Town had to offer.
Michael goes on to share his story, discussing how he traversed the new cultures, language barriers and environment whilst pursuing his dreams of becoming a professional rugby player.
