Decorex Cape Town is back and runs from 6 to 9 June 2024. This year, Decorex Cape Town welcomes show partners none other than Plascon, Samsung, Lexus and the City of Cape Town.

The programme for the country’s biggest interior design exhibition is jam-packed with installations and displays from 230 creative companies, talks and more for all interior design lovers to enjoy.
Here’s what you can look forward to at Decorex Cape Town:
Democratising 3D-printing
With the objective of democratising 3D printing, an extra-large industrial 3-D printer from Amnova will be demonstrating the future of 3D printing, with Amnova leading a Future Talk too.
Sustainable, low-cost housing
Come and watch a sustainable, low-cost house being built from sandbags live at Decorex over the course of four days.
Upcycled chairs
Sit on new wonders while attending the Future Talks. The upcycled chairs were created entirely from refuse. These upcycled chairs were the brainchild of Circular Squared’s designer, Heath Nash.
Urban Think Tank’s new parklet
A new parklet designed by Urban Think Tank will be unveiled at Decorex before it moves to its new home in the Mother City.
MaXhosa launches its outdoor furniture collection
Iconic SA decor and fashion brand, MaXhosa Africa will be showcasing its outdoor furniture collection. As an added bonus to the exhibition, MaXhosa will be mounting a lounge concept for the show’s VIP guests. Members of the public will be able to view.
Belgotex’s hotel-inspired theme
Floor coverings brand Belgotex will showcase a collaboration with Hesse Kleinloog.
Africanismo
Local concept store, Merchants on Long, will mount an African-themed exhibition that promotes the best of what our continent has to offer.
Collabs! Collabs! Collabs!
Designers and brands from across the country, such as Okhre Collective, JH Interiors, Anna Correira, Mezzanine, Artep Studio, Hocus Interiors and MINK Studio, bring their visions to life in inspired collaborative exhibitions such as the Decorex House by Private Property, Lexus Designer Pods, and Plascon Vibrant Harmony Designer Pods.
Decorex’s recycling bin challenge
Five new-age recycling bin designs chosen by a panel of esteemed local designers from submissions to Decorex’s recycling bin challenge will be on display to the public for the first time at Decorex Cape Town.
First time on the floor
New products from Infinity, Laduma, Core Furniture, Samsung Music Frame, Mille Collines, Thabo Makhetha Collective, Studio Lloyd, Nighttree, Nosso and Mosaico Vero will be displayed on the floor for the first time.
Catch local chefs at Decorex Cape Town
Warm up from the inside out with chefs such as Imtiyaaz Hart, Jade de Waal, Mash Mugwena and Jocelyn Myers-Adams who will be using the latest Samsung appliances in demonstrations of their signature dishes at the Samsung Bespoke Cooking Theatre.

Future Talks at Decorex Cape Town 2024
This year’s Future Talks will be hosted by Bathandwa Ngwendu. Hailing from Khayelitsha and nurtured in Kraaifontein, Cape Town, Ngwendu’s rich cultural background makes him the perfect host for such dynamic conversation. Ngwendu is also the host of the Maak ‘n Plan podcast, with his insightful commentary on arts and culture in South Africa.
Future Talks speakers for Decorex Cape Town 2024 include:

Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis, spearheading initiatives to foster collaboration and address urban challenges;

Emoji room sets
Decorex Cape Town introduces the emoji room sets that will bring emojis to life in physical form, as a way for visitors to the exhibition to see how the digital world rears its head in the physical world.
‘While the inspiration is playful, the execution will be sophisticated and refined. The designs will not be overtly themed but will subtly incorporate emoji elements, showcasing the designers’ creativity and expertise,’ explains Bielle Bellingham, Executive Creative Director of Decorex Africa.
Sip, sip, and grab a snack
Rest in between Future Talks, live demonstrations and exhibitions to break bread with fellow design enthusiasts at the Coffee Café, The Bubbly Bar and The Bloom Space Café.
