Some much-welcomed rain is forecast for the Mother City this coming week. According to the South African Weather Service (SAWS), Capetonians can expect some wet weather on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

According to SAWS, cold weather will begin to roll in on Wednesday, with a maximum of 17°C. Thursday’s temperatures will drop to 16°C, Friday to 15°C and Saturday will see a maximum of only 14°C.

While the rain may not be a downpour, as we edge closer to summer, Cape Town needs all the rain it can get. After the devastating drought, this precious resource is widely welcomed. The idea of our dams plummeting to the 28% mark again is something Capetonians collectively fear.

Unpack your rain jacket if you thought warm weather was here to stay. As we all know, Cape Town’s weather loves to keep us on our toes.
